Race for the Cure

We're not the biggest fans of Susan G. Komen for a few reasons, but I wanted to do something to honor Mom's memory so this year I participated in the Race for the Cure when it came to Raleigh. I made pins for the boys & I to wear & mine had a pic of my Mom on it. It was an overcast day but warm & the rain held off until we were walking to the car!  Even though we did the at your own pace walk, I did "cheat" & cut through a Burger King parking lot & came out the other side as I was concerned for the weather & my sanity with the kids.

 

 

 

Lane's Baptism

Today Lane was baptized. I was wondering if he would talk and/or laugh during it but he didn't only smiled! Sweet boy. Everyone loved to watch him & told me so & even the Minister commented on Lane's happy demeanor!
Gran, Aunt Leigh, AJ & Evan came up from Alabama for the ceremony. We all had a nice lunch at my sister's country club afterwards.

Dance?

I don't know why this tickles me so, but Spenser came home from school one day doing this "dance" that his friend made up. Pretty silly but I laugh each time!

Building a patio

 

Jon installed a new brick patio off the deck. We put the smoker grill & firepit (that we've never used yet!) on it & will buy a small table & 2 chairs to complete it.

 

 

 

Lulu loves Lane

This is my coworker Brendan's puppy. All she wanted to do was lay on top of Lane & nap while he napped!

Riding an Elephant

Not necessarily on my bucket list, but a great thing to do if given the chance and at the Cole Bros Circus for $8 a person, we were!  It was actually very fun. You feel a bit like you could fall off & it's pretty high up but the ride is slow & gentle.

Nose cups

My coworker brought in these cool cups so I took these 3 home to have Spenser try them.
