The greatest Yankee Candle!

I love the smell of fresh cut grass & I love to cut grass too so when Yankee Candle came out a few years ago with the scent of green grass I was in heaven!  They have since discontinued it leaving me only able to capture that great smell in spring & summer by walking behind Jon when he cuts the grass or sticking my head out the window as I drive by someone else cutting grass!!  Fast forward to our recent beach trip to Myrtle Beach.  We went to an outlet mall & they had a Yankee Candle store so I went in as I love candles. Lo & behold they had 1 green grass jar candle on the shelf for $15!   It was sooo mine & I LOVE it but will now keep it after it is burned so I will have it always!!

Heaven in a jar- I think so!!!!

Today Jon & our neighbor Frank built us a shed to store more stuff that's in the garage so we can get the other car in!

Myrtle Beach for Easter!

Even though I live less than 3 hours away, I have never been to Myrtle Beach until this weekend.  Jon's Mom has a time share & we left Thursday night. Friday was freezing & rainy so we spent it with Gran, Aunt Leigh & the boys shopping & eating. Then we went to the Tiger Preservation station to have a picture with a white tiger cub (mark that off my bucket list)! We also got to hold an Orangutang. (That's what I'm calling it, it was some sort of monkey). Saturday was sunny & warm(er) so we took family photos on the beach & then Gran, Leigh & the boys went back to Alabama & we stayed & played on the beach & went home that night. It was a good time!

I would love for my Mom to have been able to see this one!  She ALWAYS fell asleep reading & in the oddest positions. Spenser did the same reading his bible!

Spenser's first hockey game

Tonight we took Spenser to his first hockey game. We are fans, although I think I'm a bigger one than Jon & our (my) hope was that Spenser would be too. For unknown reasons, our son has extremely sensitive ears & I didn't think the night would go that well, be he did great!  Although that will be his last hockey game in person for awhile until he grows out of his ear thing!

However, as long as he had a hotdog- all was good!
